Trees

Trees

A Poem by Bill MacEachern
"

Had a big Nor’easter hit the South Shore & Cape Cod, downing many trees

"
Trees

Trees are many things
Shade on a blinding day
A seat to watch the game
An arm to swing a swing

Bodys to climb
Pulp for paper
Trunks for tapping
And markers of time

Heat in our hearths
Billboards of love
Home to the critters
High up above

Leaves for looking
Fruit for picking
Wood for whittling
Kindling for cooking

Trees
You gotta love em
They’re everything
