Existence Withheld

It’s time to cut the strings,

pull the trigger on my life.

I’ve given up on insecurities

no longer tamed by a knife.

I was pushed from my horse,

merely out of spite.

If only they knew,

my soul was never bright.

Call on your angels,

take back what I never desired.

My date is getting closer,

though my being has already expired.

Visit my grave and grieve

remembering my existence.

Know that death came easy,

I gave much needed assistance.

A life I never wanted,

one I never really deserved,

now rests in the hands of angels,

my last breath reserved.

I was freefalling into a shadowy mine,

a bottomless pit now met.

I couldn’t be saved,

no matter the amount I bet.

A resting place to capture shadows,

a gloomy existence held in a measuring cup.

It was a hard battle,

but I’ve finally given up.

It’s time to cut the strings,

I have known people who wanted death. When the end came. They desire the one chance of the possibility of something good. Complete poem was strong. A epic poem of a desire for a peace that may not come. Thank you for a excellent poem. Made me think.
