Searching for the trailA Poem by LovecraftA work in progress.
Searching for the trail, invisible to sight,
Just within my grasp, just out of reach, Frustration welling up, blood tears stain, That which I had never yet found. The darkness creeps and crawls, Covering all that I intend to see, Mocking me with incoherency And inconsistency. Forests of the dead and dying, The fog swirling then lifting, Through the vastness of this place. A place that swallows the unwanted, Unforgiving and capricious, a wasteland. © 2018 LovecraftAuthor's Note
