Never Meant To Be KnownA Poem by LovecraftThis one is open to interpretation.
Passages of all length are of an entity divine, sublime,
Quoting the oral traditions of long millennial slumber, To awake upon the canvas of paint, unfinished, cracking And peeling for the eyes of the single viewer unimpeded, Unable to express to any supreme audience its validity. Witness of events is an unforeseen complication, Of the uncomprehending and never-ending cascades, Cascades of something never meant to be the known. Enlightenment comes to the individual, not the group, Endlessly surpassing something intrinsic to humanity, So close to the touch of the invisibly ancient ones.
