The Pieces of Me

A poem for people that have lost a father wrote this for my loving wife who lost her father recently

I hope when my time comes and death is near
That my love ones will continue without any fear
All my life I’ve given you all moments and memories
Sad ones, funny ones, angry ones, happy ones
The life we built the love ones left behind share my tales and my stories
Share the good the bad share the life that we had with all my puns
The pieces I leave with you are pieces to give you comfort in your time of need
The pieces of me are the memories whether good or bad
I know life will only get tougher from this point on but hold on to me and I will lead
But know that I love you and I am still with you always and proud to be your Dad….
