Goodbye

I wrote this when I was 17 after I got dumped, lol. Seems silly now, but oh well.

You've hurt me once, you've hurt me twice, but I shall hurt no more. I took up on my own advice, so now you're out the door.

 

You promised me our love was true, you swore it by and by, I should've known what you would do. I should've known you'd lie.

 

Even though you will be missed, I'm glad we're not together. My heart could never live like this and think about forever.

Sometimes we are better off not with someone even when we love them... I love the straight forward I can make it without you vibe of this piece. That last sentence was very impactful way to end it.
