The Man of my Dreams

I wrote this for the new girlfriend of my ex-boyfriend at the time.

The man of my dreams is dreaming of you and my tears are falling fast, it seems that his love is only for you, so I'm letting go at last.

 

He's my soul, my every breath, the only one I see and I will love him to the death, so please do this for me.

 

Don't break his heart, don't make him cry, and please, whatever you do, don't take the stars out of his eyes and prove your love is true.

 

Tell him often the beauty of his smile and warm him with a kiss, tell him you love him once in a while and fullfill his every wish.

 

Out of everything I'll ever need, he's the one thing I'll never touch, but my heart won't let me live in greed, no matter that it hurts so much.

 

So take my love and hold him tight, never let him go. Keep him happy and treat him right and always let it show.
