Finally a Healthy Relationship

A poem about being in a healthy relationship after being in a toxic one

Taking it one day at a time

Apologizing for any little inconvenience

Forgetting they aren’t the same sometimes

Rambling as I begin feeling more secure

Opening up about my past

Hearing him reassure

Till the thoughts trickle back in

And his deep dark eyes turn into crystal clear blue

And I feel like I can’t escape, like I will never win
