Hestia. Goddess of Fire.

Hestia. Goddess of Fire.

A Poem by Needy

Scorched is my very soul
You have indeed taken your toll
The flame has fizzled out
For the wants of a burnout

My world set ablaze
I can't make sense of this haze
I'm just an ember of what I once was
Relishing in all my forgotten flaws

There's still a burning desire
To feel the heat of your fire
But I will just get burnt
The lesson still not learnt

From the charred remains of my being
Lies the truth I hoped I'd be seeing
And from the ashes I shall rise
To be free from all your lies
