Prologue: Throw It All Away

Why is it that when I desperately want to cry, tears never appear.

Yet when I fight them, they flow freely until I beg them to stop.

I am accepted only because I appear human.

I am protected only because someone gave birth to me.

I am only here to be what people see. Nothing more and nothing less.

But. . .

I long for freedom.

And a monsterous body can give me the freedom.

To escape humanity and society. To travel and never be tied down by chains of morality and what is right.

Yes, that's right.

I will become a demon someday.

For selfish reasons I will throw everything away.

This left me wanting more. The last line really did stand out to me. I have no idea why, but it really did. Hmm it makes me wonder a couple of things, but I will just read to find out. Thank you for sharing. :)

Very interesting. At first (not offence) i felt this was going to be a sad emo story but I loved the twist about becoming a demon. This is very original and I know ill enjoy it.

I would have very much preferred to stay vague and say that you were to "transcend from your human form into a form that immortalizes your soul" but that's just me, aha. I tend to stray away from the whole "angels and demons" scene, you know?
