My HibernationA Poem by BlyndSikickAwoken from my hibernation To find a land of green Much different from the world of white I’d previously seen. The white was cold and strangely black: A world of isolation. It begged my world to sleep until I found some consolation. For many days and many nights I toiled in my slumber; I waited hard and long to find A new song, dance, and number. My sleeping self was unaware Of troubles that might haunt me. My body cold and dead enough Life wouldn’t try to flaunt me. Until I found what woke me up: A strange, yet great sensation. Escaping from the bitter cold To see life’s new creation. Instead of being trapped in cold, A world that’s dimly lit, I found myself amongst the sun: The heat contained with it. A wonderful emotion coming From this newfound sun. I push away the bitterness In favor of the fun. The world I walk around in now Seems brighter, fuller, better. A smile’s been painted on my face Regardless of the weather. This world contained in green is one I’m truly glad to know I wish this my world would stay this way And never see it go. © 2009 BlyndSikickReviews
