Death and defiance

Influx lunges, deep inhale
Chest rising tooth and nail
Feel the wind expelled out
Snoring heavy all with doubt

Wheezing gasps in curtailed
Rhythms extracted pain sailed
Weighted with each contraction
Oxygen with little or no reaction

Slowing down its momentum
Coughing evils ultimatum
Then no more into silence
Weep no more my defiance
