Dream A Little Dream

I want to hold you through the night
Treat your memories to loves delight
Break the spells that so bind you
No more pain and no more blue

No time to look back your pain is gone
Our time together just hush until dawn
Lay your worries and all the fears
Gently resting tonight's done tears

Its done the time has made it course
Time to settle and forget remorse
We are now and our time to share
No more harm for us will we bare

Don’t dwell on the past or the suffering
Far past occurrences leave no buffering
Tonight you’re held in loves sweet embrace
No bad memories will you have to face

I am here now close your eyes and sleep
Let others take they’re souls and weep
My arms will cradle your body in love
Your skin to touch with my gentle rub

As you slip in dreams and filled with desire
Know that the knight I will act as your sire
A knight I shall be protecting your heart
Nothing to harm you or tear us apart

For my care and concern they will be the shield
Letting you dream of wild flowers in the field
Finding piece in the sunshine wild trees in the shade
For our love in the night was truly what we made

My body giving warmth my heart pounding deep
Letting you rest while you feel safe in sleep
And when you awake and see me next to you
Know that you stayed safe the whole night thru.

Look into you heart and see what you feel
Then you can kiss me and tell me it’s real
Because this is the way things shall be
Just sweet dreams do exist for you and me.
