Were you a heart breaker

Were you a heart breaker

A Poem by Bonnie Paige

Did night Descend on women while falling asleep crying your names?
When Late night fell were they woken by the anguish of your face in dreams. It must have been their heart, Startled … breaking, tugging wrenching, from a peaceful rest.
But, many are forced to mature. In their life their children came. One girl and then two girls and try as they could, another. The wishful hoping of someone just like you non-happening.
Daddies now living in a house full of bright eyes and screaming sounds caused by girlish laughter. It’s time for learning.
Your daughter’s are to be loved and protected for one lifetime.
For in the dusk comes the young man you use to be, that love who’s seeking only one night, or a trophy mate, or egos looking for a boost.
You finally get to see hurt feelings, broken hearts, shattered dreams, restlessness of her soul and the battle to become herself once more.
Harder to watch your Angel, knowing not long ago you were the one breaking hearts the same way!

Unsure as to whether or not this a cry is against all men or the one that evily took your innocence. Whichever, the pain and memory lives on and on and might scar you til the end. Such tragic writing.
