When Time Holds Its Breath (Part I -Soul)

When Time Holds Its Breath (Part I -Soul)

A Poem by Curly Grace

Reality bends

between breath and prayer,

and I feel you

slipping

into the marrow of me.

Moments stretch,

time folds

around our tethered souls,

and I wait

to see you fully,

to dissolve

into your gaze,

to find

myself

in the warmth of your being.

The world

holds its breath,

and so do I,

in the sacred stillness

where our spirits brush,

where waiting

becomes worship,

and living

is entwining.

This feels like a dream enveloping the reader. Anyone who reads this will slip into that sacred stillness. A gift for the reader and the writer both.
