Prelusion of Silent Gravity

Prelusion of Silent Gravity

A Poem by Curly Grace
"

Chapter: Darling

"

Every inch of me remembers him
before he is here.
The orbit pulls, quiet but insistent,
tugging breath, pulse, thought
into the space that belongs only to him.

A glance imagined
sets fire along my spine.
Every heartbeat counts
the distance between presence and touch,
the milliseconds before a brush of hands
or the curve of a smile
collapses everything into knowing.

I am awake in every cell,
aware of the way desire waits patiently,
thick as air,
light as breath,
ready to fill the pause
where he will meet me
and everything bends into orbit.
