Mischief in Your Quiet

Mischief in Your Quiet

A Poem by Curly Grace
"

A playful, intimate sonnet where whispers, laughter, and secret sparks trace the quiet mischief of two hearts entwined.

"

I.
Your name drifts in the hush of evening air,
A whisper pressed between the stars’ slow breath.
Each pulse a secret none but I may share,
A flame that flickers gently, flirting with death.

II.
I trace the curve of silence in your eyes,
Where shadow bends to gold and time forgets.
We play in spaces only we devise,
Where laughter lingers, weaving our small nets.

III.
If I could hold the wind within my hands,
Or tilt the moon to wink along our game,
I would, yet know the cosmos understands
Some sparks are meant to tease without a name.

IV.
So come, and let your heartbeat map my own,
For in your quiet, mischief has found home.

Hi,
Another excellent piece.
By using you or your you’re engaging the reader as the subject which is fine if that’s what you mean. If not, it’s a good time to introduce some detail: In the hush of the evening, I can still see his eyebows lift and curve line gander wings.

For thought,
Winston

This is why I love poetry. If only we could (at times) speak in a poetic language such as this communication would be so much more enlightening. There are great lines in this. Reminds me of the classic poets. Great job, Curly.
