Psyche and Eros

Psyche and Eros

A Poem by Curly Grace

He came in darkness.

No face.
No name.
Only heat.
Only breath.

I opened.
He moved through me
like tide.
Like fire.
Like something eternal.

Every touch a question.
Every pause an answer.

I saw him once.
The light revealed desire.
I lost him.
I followed anyway.

Through fire.
Through doubt.
Through hunger in my bones.

When he returned,
I was pulse.
I was heat.
I was knowing.

And we became pulse.
And we became flame.

Quite the explosive opening. From there it follows the mythology in its rare of endings among few gods and mortals. The tempo and myths intertwined, a curiosity and wonder in such things incapable in a shallower world of wants and needs. Eternally Olympus as eternally wed. I really do need to brush up but I actually do recall this one as no one dies in a tragic manner and their love prevails even through darkness~.
