The Flame That Still Remains

The Flame That Still Remains

A Poem by Curly Grace
"

Some beauty is quiet; some fire is eternal.

"
There is a beauty
no mirror has ever held
no glass has ever remembered

It does not live in charm
or fleeting applause
those things vanish
like mist

Another beauty walks quietly

through hands that build
through hearts that forgive
through strength that bends
and rises

She does not wear it
as ornament

It grows within her like a flame fed by time older than ours

seen only by the Eternal

Rooted and luminous

born in the quiet fear
of the Lord

And the world may never notice

but the heavens whisper

“She is fire.
She will endure.”

This is beautiful! Insightfully written. You must have really thought deeply in this. All spiritually minded ones hope and pray for this.

I have been around long enough to have been scorched once or twice .. it can hurt like hell but then she is so addictive I have thrown caution to the wind that subsequently fans the flames to burn again .. I doubt I'll ever learn .. but then, hey ho say's Rowley .. Very muchly enjoyed my friend .. stay safe, cool and write on Neville 😎👍
