The Honey in the UndoingA Poem by Curly Grace I hold the space where silence bends Where want begins but never ends One breath away from giving in And knowing where we’ve always been He speaks in honey over fire A sweetness edged with quiet desire Each word a spark I cannot outrun A slow undoing just begun I feel it settle on my skin Not quite a touch, but drawing in A warmth that lingers, low and deep The kind that never asks, but keeps I linger where the moment sways Balanced on the blade it plays One breath more and then we begin Your hunger calling mine within Waiting comes in quiet ways A slow unfolding of the gaze The air between us, thin and bright A promise building in the night
