The Hands That Hold Light

The Hands That Hold Light

A Poem by Curly Grace

The weight you carry feels immense
yet even in the grayest hour
a hand reaches out, a tiny touch
a spark soft, certain, alive

Moments like that linger
a cheek brushed, a kiss
reminders that love sees you
even when the world feels heavy

You do not have to fix it all
nor carry every shadow alone
Breathe, for breath itself
is a small rebellion, a promise of more

Let the heartbeats you cherish
be the rhythm you return to
The smallest joys are fierce
and even in waiting
the light moves closer
steady, unshakable, yours

Thanks for sharing this upbeat and compassionate poem CG....:)

For me it reads kinda like a mindfuness meditation, or some wise words from a mentor....

These were my favourite lines:

The smallest joys are fierce
and even in waiting
the light moves closer
steady, unshakable, yours

A positive view on life is always the best armour to protect ourselves through life. And those little things in life are bigger than we think. Hence: the phrase, stop and smell the roses, was spoken by a wise person. Great poem Curly.

Beautifully written! A quiet reminder that we're not alone. I especially liked those lines:

"Let the heartbeats you cherish
be the rhythm you return to"

Beautifully worded :)

A gentle, reassuring voice—soft strength offering light in the weight of darkness.
The poem breathes with quiet hope, reminding us that even small moments can carry us through.

WOW, this is such brilliant writing, I love your way with words. They roll off the tongue with ease, and the writing is so soft and smooth.

Well done,

Trace

This poem is a reaching out and assurance that someone is there. Nicely written it is most reassuring.

You are most welcome
I see this today since a month I was taking everyone's responsibility on my shoulders and was under stress seeing the progress of project. But today I was thinking take few works on shoulders and let work with peaceful mind. I know we are limited beings in the human body taking too much on head is hectic and chronic pain in head and acute abdomen. Agonising my heart.

Just breathing is also sometimes needed and good.
