The Soul’s Whisper

The Soul’s Whisper

A Poem by Curly Grace

The soul knows
 how to mend itself

  tracing warmth beneath the ribs
  along the spine
  over the heart

The mind quivers
 restless

  but when it softens
  when it quiets

   the whispers settle
   curling through the chest
   sliding into the bones
   flooding the blood

Healing comes

  not asked for
  not forced

   but felt
   alive
   insistent
   whole
