At the Threshold of Bloom

At the Threshold of Bloom

A Poem by Curly Grace

Lanterns swing between the trees,
casting gold upon the moss.
We walk side by side in ease,
laughter hums where bees emboss.

Velocity guides our way
through the sun-drenched, flowering glade.
Every step a bright display,
crossing thresholds we have made.

Hands brush tall grass, soft and sweet,
fingers trace the earth’s slow beat.
Friendship blooms in every glance,
alive within this shared expanse.

This to me sounds like a loved and well worn path, shared with a love and when real actual spring shows up... and not the fourteen seasons in one day nonsense we had here yesterday, with wind for starters, blowin' a hoolie, as we say here in every so windswept Scotland, followed by rain, hail, snow and an extremely late appearance of that myth like bright skyball of fire, otherwise known as the sun. 😃
