Fatal FlawsA Poem by SoozProtegeMy fatal flaws
In the journey of life, most have one fatal flaw that's unjust .
Lucky me, I got two, they answer to Love, and to Trust. When the walls just come down, just when I'm unfocused. They're unfaithful, untrue, yet very prideful and robust. A wounded healer on struggle street, my hope fully concussed. My frostbitten blood, pumping from a heart ready to combust. So tired of these damp salty dimples, drying from faulty tear ducts. So I'm cementing forever, my hearts portcullis. Drowning the light, cloaking my heart's wanderlust. © 2020 SoozProtege |
