I want to hide

More of a gothic fantasy type poem

Why must I stay in the light when I'd rather hide in the shadows?
The darkness protects me where the light pains me.
Why must I pretend to be a creature of the light when I'm a demon of the darkness?
I'd rather hide in the element in which I was created.
The darkness gives me strength.
My fellow demons of darkness respect me for what I am where the creatures of light ridicule me.
I would like nothing more then to incinerate them in the deepest pits of Hell but alas they must yet live.

I like the this one it states the facts that most say and you are truly a good writer and I can see it all comes from the heart well written
