Your Heart

Some of my poems are small. Some are very impactful. You may find my writing seems a bit childish, but I keep it on this website 95% for myself. So if you like them, I appreciate that.

I wish that you'd be here

I wish that you'd stay

because right about now

your heart seems so far away

I wish that you loved me

I wish that you cared

I wish when you cried

that I could be there

I know I was wrong,

I was so lost in myself

but now that you're gone

it seems there's nothing else

I could beg for forgiveness

In hopes that you'd give in

but all that I want

if for you to listen

I know that it's too late

and I'm glad you've moved on

I'm glad that you're happy

after so long

because I was painful

too hard for you to bear

but once in a while

I realize just how much

of me I shared

Every moment was like

living a dream

because everything I needed

was right in front of me

I can never take back the words

that shattered your heart apart

I don't expect you to forgive me

or even begin to start

but just know 

that every feeling I ever felt

every smile you put on my lips

every blush from your sweetness

and every word I'd ever spoke

was the most honest truth

and I know deep inside my aching heart

I will never forget you

very smooth... I want to say perfectly smooth however you would have had to punctuate it.. I saw some places that could have been comma'd at least even if only or dramatic affect.. it was very sing-songy!!
