the fly that landed

on the leg of my pants

searching for food

and seeking only life

was unfortunate in that

he found only me

and flew off starving

There's alot in such a short piece like this. Sometimes the amount of words belies the depth of meaning and other ideas that can spring from it. I can't say that it made me want ot continue along this vein of thinking (whatever it may have been for you!) but it does point out that alot of deep thoughts can be seen in an everyday, completely random occurence. Good job!

lol, I loved this. Simple and easy. Great to read, and funny in a way. I loved it :) But yeah, I think you could take this and build something more with it. I don't know how, but if I fiddled with it for a bit, I could probably turn it into a longer poem. I really dont know how, cause even though its short, it has a lotta detail in it. I mean its short, simple and proves a point. Can't ask for more :)
