Chapter 10

Chapter 10

A Chapter by Brina

“Here we are.” Jace said stopping abruptly.

Well finally, we had gone up an elevator, taken a few hallways here and there, and had walked for what seemed like ages, though luckily we had passed nobody, and I had been informed by Mike that this was because today was a Vampire holiday, of sorts, Blood Fest 2009.

“So who all are my roommates?” I asked for the umpteenth time.

Mike FINALLY answered, “Well don’t freak out but you have five, since the dorm is very big, and separated into five different sections”

Great.

“Well it seems, that somehow,” a quick glance to Jace, “that your roommates are, Kurt, Iven, Felipe, Jace, and myself, somehow.”

Uh huh, and am I the only minor?

“Yup, Jace is 20, Kurt 22, Felipe 22, Iven 23, and I am 21.”

Uh huh, great, just great, well time to see my new home. Jace opened the door, and I took a step inside.

I gasped, um whoa, this was like living with royalty, oh yeah I am never mind, Jace, but still WoW.

We had all stepped into a living room of sorts, the floors were carpeted with lush carpet, you could probably sleep comfortably on and a couch was placed in the center with a gigantic TV in front of it. I could see the kitchen and dining area from where I stood, and again wow, the kitchen was like one in a cafeteria, buffet and all; the dining area looked like it could easily seat thirty people and more.

“Um wow.”

“Yeah you’re lucky, only we have dorms this sweet.” A voice said from the couch in the living area, startling me.

“And who are you?” I asked curiously.

“Kurt.” Kurt said standing up. So I got a good look at his hot body.

“Oh so you’re the person who knocked me out the ‘old fashioned’ way?”

A slow nod.

“Grrrrr! I have a major headache because of you, maybe next time a little warning would be nice!”

“Well I couldn’t tell you I was about to knock you out or you’d scream or try to defend yourself.”

He had a point but still “Just don’t do it again.”

“Agreed”

Mike I noticed had been chuckling through this whole thing.

“Well, I guess no one would answer me if I asked a few questions would they?” I said pretending innocence.

“Uh sure.” Felipe said.

“Well start with WHY THE HELL AM I HERE, And end with WHY THE HELL WERE YOU AT MY SCHOOL?!?!?!”

Felipe cringed a bit, but recovered quickly, “You’re here because you know too much, and we were at your school, because we were trying to capture a werewolf that had escaped our jails, and unluckily the principle walked in just after we killed him.”

“So WHAT DO YOU EAT????”

“Usually animal blood but we all have our slip ups, right?”

“Yeah….”

“Okay enough chit chat; let’s get you to your room.” Jace said, irritating me.

“Uh okay where is it?”

“Upstairs,” Nodding towards the stairs that I hadn’t noticed when we first walked in.

Felipe and Mike headed up the stairs; Jace dragged me along with him, grrr, again with the grabbing that is really beginning to piss me off.

We reached the first landing “I’ll show you around,”

“Uh huh.”

“This is Mike and Felipe’s room,” they were currently opening the door to go inside, so I got a quick glance at the awesome black and white decorating.

We walked a little further, “This is Iven and Kurt’s room.” He knocked, and a soft ‘come in’ sounded on the other side.

“Iven, new roommate,” Jace said opening the door, giving me a glance at the guy lying on the bed, another body builder, ugh.

“I don’t want a new rooma--” that’s when he turned around and saw me, “Cool, whose room is she going to stay in?”

“Mine temporarily, since all the other ones are full.”

“Uh huh”

I felt left out as they exchanged a knowing look, what the heck?

“Come on Liz, let’s go to our room.”

Grrr, there is no our, or us, or anything that combined him and me into one. “Sure,” I hoped to god separate beds.

HE led me back to the stairs and we headed up to the next floor, Jace opened the door, onto a HUMONGOUS bedroom, uh wow, and yes there were two beds, two king sized beds, one black and one blue.

“Uh cool.” I said flummoxed.

He gave me a smile, but then went straight back to the Jace we all know and hate, “Your bed is the black one, that closet is yours,” he said pointing to his right, “there is only one bathroom on every floor, so don’t waste time.”

“Yup, and how long exactly am I going to live here?”

A frown “Who knows?” rhetorical question, I hate those grr.

“Well, dinner at five and its four thirty about, so I suggest you get ready, and we can discuss everything later, your clothes should already be in the closet,” Jace said.
