Chapter 14

Jace’s POV 

 

I can’t believe I just kissed her, but damn is she hot, great now Mike is going to know. God damnit! Letting go of her, I turned away from Liz and left heading downstairs to hang with Kurt.

 

I passed Mike on the stairs and he growled at me, at me, then he quickly passed heading upstairs to my bedroom, what the hell? Oh right Liz, huh, I wonder what the story is behind her, Mike better effing tell me.

 

I saw Kurt on a couch playing his Xbox and I decided to join him. He gave me a weird look but didn’t press it.

 

A little while later I heard someone stomping down the stairs, it better not be-.

 

“Jace god damnit why the hell, did you f*****g do that to her” Mike yelled as he reached the bottom of the stairs.

 

Damn I’m sorry okay?

 

“Oh you’re sorry? Oh well that’s funny, because when you effing kissed her against her will it reminded her of her effing brother! And do you really think she needs that added on top of the fact she was kidnapped by blood sucking vampires today? Oh you didn’t think, you just acted, yeah you acted like a dick.”

 

Her brother, what the hell happened between them? Mike is really starting to annoy me.

 

“Um what happened?” Kurt asked, I warned Mike in my mind not to tell him,so what does he do the opposite.

 

“This a*****e,” He jerked his thumb in my direction, “decided that since Liz looks hot it would be okay to KISS her, when she clearly said no, and this a*****e, also brought up some lovely family memories, like last Friday what her brother did to her, which is still f*****g fresh in her mind! So maybe leave the minor alone, since everyone in this f*****g dorm is already dreaming about screwing her, and since we’re supposed to be her BODY guards, why don’t we leave those effing thoughts to the vampires we’re guarding her from.”

 

If I didn’t feel like s**t I might have laughed, seriously Felipe likes her, weird. Seriously though what happened last Friday?

 

“God, chilax bro,” Kurt said taking a step back from Mike, I almost laughed.

 

“You don’t know the s**t she has gone through, and the nightmares she has, you don’t know about the abuse, the pain, the tears, and you don’t f*****g know how easily it will be to f*****g break her, because if you didn’t notice she just shuts down when people touch her, ever wondered why?”

 

Damnit, what is this feeling was it, s**t he made me feel regret what the f**k?

 

Kurt was just standing there open mouthed to shocked to say anything.

 

“Well then tell us.” I said.

 

And strangely enough he complied.

 

“Her brother, isn’t really related, and they all seemed a happy enough family in her mind, that is until her dad left, when she was fourteen, after that it seems all hell broke loose, no pun intended. Her mom, she thinks changed first, she stopped taking her medication, and began using Liz for other needs. Then her brother changed, which I'm not sure I agree with, it seems that he was born an evil a*****e.” Mike paused for a moment, cringing slightly.

 

“Steve, her step brother, let’s say treats his sister like well uh, his w***e. Though he has done a whole lot worse, and last Friday, Jace, he tied her to a bed in his room, and basically,” Mike winced, “he took off her clothes and started hitting her. And apparently he has spiked her food before, and has punched her, a number of times, and the only people that know are her step mother and brother, and her friend Andy, who kind of was in the right place at the right time, though not in her opinion. I think her brother was a little pissed by that, because everything he’s done to her after that seems worse to me.” Mike pause again.

 

“Her mother isn’t truly as bad, but she does make Liz go through s**t, she apparently calls herself a ‘guest greeter’ because she always greets all of her mom’s ‘friends’ who have the lovely categories of ‘sexual abusive’ ‘physically abusive’ or the lovely ‘both’.”

 

I was practically growling now I was pissed, damn them all to Hell (Again no pun intended). Kurt looked too flabbergasted to say anything.

 

“That’s all I’m going to say for right now, she should be finished talking to Felipe, and the rest she needs to tell you.”

 

Why in the f**k is Felipe talking to her. I opened my mouth to speak, and Mike sent me a glare, what the hell.

 

Oh that’s when I saw Felipe come down the stairs.

 

“Now do you understand?”

 

I nodded, not only for the whole no speaky thing, but why I should probably not attack Liz again.

 

“Yeah he’s not going to like that, but I can say I do.” Mike said answering something in Felipe’s thoughts I bet.

 

“I’m not going to like what?” I asked, since it was probably about me.

 

“Liz is going to stay in our room for the time being, until I feel she can safely sleep in the same room as you, and even then until she forgives you.” Mike said

 

I was pissed, what the hell? She’s my roommate, I’m the youngest I’m the prince not you, you gave up that position to me Mike, (yes they are brothers)

 

“Fine,” I growled finally.

 

Everyone looked liked they were going to start cracking up. Grrr!!!!

 

“Come on let’s go get Liz.” Mike said to Felipe, he clearly wanted to talk to Felipe, I wonder why?

 

“Uh sure.”

 

And with that they headed up the stairs.
