The Perfect Crime

The Perfect Crime

A Poem by Broken Serenity
"

A piece about the trials of having a crush and being in love.

"
A shy look and an awkward hello
to a man I barely know

The laughs and smiles of every meeting
I swear that isn't my heart beating

You stole my heart within a single glance
These butterflies in me continue to dance

A red letter sealed with a heart
This waiting is ripping me apart

It seems I stole your heart as well
Still, I fear a painful farewell

As we whisper in Salem throughout the night
I think everything will be alright
