Expected Reality

Just another sad poem about love, life and happiness

The story of two beating hearts

A redundant tale but it somehow rips me apart

A tidal wave of everything you meant to me

Slowly it all slowly fades away

I grasp onto our fading memories

Hoping that one day I'll find that missing shard of me

As i reach out into infinity

I can't help but reflect on what it did to me

Heart pounding I close my eyes and go to sleep

Dream filled nights sarcastically punish me

A soft lullaby lulls my pleasant thoughts away

As my tears start to become a part of me

"When did your voice begin to torture me?"

"When did your eyes stop conveying your love to me?"

Piece by piece I loose sight of what was me

Screaming out the words 'help me' uselessly

Hoping one day someone will finally hear me

So I ask you all, are my feelings really so mysterious now?

Help me.
