It Goes Black

A poem about thoughts of suicide.

Slip under the water
Losing my breath
Bubbles float to the top
My life goes with them

I wait for the pain to end
Desperately wait
Wanting peace
Watching my life float to the surface

It goes black
I am gone
They cry
But I don't care

I'm gone now
I'm done now
No more pain
No more suffering
That's all that matters
