A picture’s worth a thousand words
But can we all see it?
What of the blind, who see nothing but darkness?
Whose world is forever dulled by the lack of life?

A picture’s worth a thousand words
But can we all feel it?
What of those who have lost their senses?
Who feel no warmth from a painting’s colors?

A picture’s worth a thousand words
But do we all know it?
What of those oblivious to the world?
Whose minds only wander within their own thoughts?

A picture may be worth a thousand words
But empty words have no meaning
If but one word, be it from poetry or prose,
Can change the life of another, 
Then that word alone is worth a thousand pictures.
