The Story Of Esther

Let me tell you a story; I'll try not to pester.
A true story about the heroine woman, Esther.
There was a king named Ahasuerus, who lived in a palace.
A kingdom in Shushan, not Houston nor Dallas.
The king had made a royal 7-day feast.
Inviting everyone from greatest to least.

Even with all the king's abundance of treasure.
He wanted the queen to dance for all the kingdom's pleasure.
However, Vashti the queen did refuse.
The king got upset and he blew a fuse.
The king decided to have a beauty contest.
Becoming the next queen was the conquest.

In popped Esther a beautiful doll.
She didn't need any make-up, none at all,
For she was truly the fairest of them all.
Esther had won the beauty contest.
But the Hebrew people did Hammon oppress.
He planned to have the Hebrews reduced.
But God used Esther, and Hammon hung on a noose.
