Part 4

Part 4

A Chapter by Burr the Story Sorceress

It is late, after midnight, but I am wide awake. I was just returned to my room-prison a few minutes by Worrin. We had a very, very strange conversation.

I spent the afternoon after my failed escape searching the room for any other ways out. It was useless. The only window and door are locked firmly. The walls are solid stones. I really am trapped.

At dusk, there was a knock on my door. It made so sense to me, I couldn't open the door. A familiar voice asked, “May I enter?”

“I would let you in,” I said lightly, “if the door wasn't locked form the outside. Why even try to treat me like a guest. I'm a prisoner, duh.”

Worrin sighed. “I have my reasons, you know.”

“Of course you do. All guys do.”

“Fine, I was trying to be polite.” The door opened and he entered. He was wearing the same pants as before, but his shirt was missing and his hair was free of the tie.

I couldn't help but stare. I didn't even notice him move until he gently put his finger under my chin and closed my wide open mouth. My gaze jumped to his face and my eyes were instantly caught by his.

I think my heart stopped and I couldn't seem to breath.

     I think I fainted.

The next thing I remember is laying on my back in my bed, Worrin leaning over me with a worried look on his face. His long hair formed a curtain around my face, blocking the rest of the room from view. I don't think he has ever cut that silky hair. It is the only reason I can think of for it to be waist length.

“Maybe I should send someone else to provide company for you. My presence seems to be too much for your heart to take.” Humor sparkled in his eyes.

I know fury sparkled in mine. “Well, if you wore a shirt like a decent human being, we wouldn't have this problem.” I sat up and moved to the other side of the bed. “Not that I think you're human anyway, so I guess that isn't a solution.”

I thought he would be mad or sad or something depressing like that. I was, however, very wrong. Worrin LAUGHED!!

“Well, you are a clever one.” His smile showed all his teeth. He has fangs.

In the time it took me to blink, Worrin was directly in front of me. Before I knew what was going on, I was laying in the meddle of the bed, head on the pillows, and he was on top of me, his face inches from mine, my hands pinned by his above my head. My heart was working triple overtime and my breath came in small gasps, but I was afraid. Instead, I was expecting something, but I don't know what.

His beautiful green eyes had flecks of red in them. He lowered his head and nuzzled my neck. He scraped his fangs the tender skin and I realized he is a vampire. My heart rate got faster and I moved my head so he could get to more of my neck. I don't know why I did, I just did.

He nuzzled the soft skin until his mouth was at my ear. “I'm not human, my clever little sweet,” he whispered, “but I am more than just one thing. Can you guess all three?”

His lips covered mine. I couldn't think, could only feel. My back arched and I kissed him back mindlessly. I heard him growl.

     Everything went black again.

Just thinking about that kiss, my first, makes me melt inside and tremble. My pulse is getting faster.

He is bad for my heart.
