Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by BuzzyB

O land unknown, distant and blue,

I’m sending my sunshine to you.
A touch of gold for your great skies,
While seasons grey storm through my eyes.
I wish it would not go away,
But my sunshine had this to say
It longed to shimmer on your shores
And knock upon your lambent doors,
Upon your hills to shine its best,
Glowing its way through every test.
Your sparkling seas it yearns to sail
My sunshine parts, my world turns pale.
But as it moves away from sight,
I pray it comes to be your light.
O land distant, unknown, and blue,
Be gentle on my sunshine true.

A gentle, glowing poem full of warmth even in its ache. Beautifully written.

Thank you Sarah. Thats very kind of you.
For some reason this has reminded me of early 60’s British folk/rock. Someone like Donovan. Yes, you’ve written a lovely prayer, gentle on the heart.
