Rib

Rib

A Poem by BuzzyB

Your flesh, I enmesh.

Your heart, I embrace; your lungs,

I softly brace

rising and falling like the tide.

Not lost, nor shattered

when taken from your side,

I linger on the shores

of your breath

dusk or dawn, in life or death.

An arch, an anchor, unspoken;

a crucible of bone,

bruised yet unbroken.

A cradle that holds, even as it breaks.

A cup that brims,

no matter what it takes.

In love, forever flanking you

I cling on, in passion

fierce and true.

This is raw and alive—the way you hold someone in words, through every rise and fall, bruised yet unbroken. Fierce, true, and unflinching. Makes me feel the weight of love and devotion in every line.
