Nothing

Nothing

A Poem by BuzzyB

She stole your heart

Something that wasn’t mine

So why do I feel as if

she stole my destiny?

Nothing was robbed

Yet I still feel plundered

As if a deity was

plucked from my sanctum

leaving it empty and void

of any possibility.

Your heart wasn’t mine

The deity was borrowed,

dressed in an illusion

clothed in the colours

of my own longing.

The loss wasn’t real

Yet I grieve the loss

of something that was nothing

as if it was everything.

What a great last stanza...feel such pain come through...great play on words, you created everything out of nothing and made it something very powerful. What if's can drive us crazy.

The last stanza came from nowhere. You're an awesome poet and friend. Thank you Jacob.
