On Love

you know that you have loved
if you see the beauty thats inside
the love that makes you quiver
from love you cannot hide

that love gives you joy
that love gives you pain
when their hand glides across your skin
it sets your heart aflame

this love leaves a footprint
you will never part
you'll remember it forever
a name etched in your heart

love is not always perfect
love is sometimes vain
but it will always shine on through
like sunshine through the rain

I really enjoyed reading this piece, so much truth in the words written. Love isn't perfect, it takes a lot of work and commitment but it is beautiful. I like the rhyming flow of this piece. Well written.
