Those Who Passed Away (choka poetry)

Remembering them
with everything that blesses
hoping to contain the thoughts
purified by tears
mellowed by time eternal
random pictures from the past
of childhood embrace and love
separations, longings for
those who passed away.










Note : choka poetry is an extended Haiku using variables of the 577/577/775 form, 
or the 575/575/557 form.

Author's Note

An old photo of my brother and me with Dad and Mom, both passed away last (2009 & 2010) the poem was written in random thoughts brought about by the picture.

Thank you Ed. I do miss my parents - we were separated when they migrated to Australia in 1978 with 5 of my siblings and I was left in the Philippines. The childhood memories are all I
have now, since they both passed away in 2009 (Dad) and
2010 (Mom).
