Sunrise

Often I stay awake
hoping I see daylight break.
Most miss out on this amazing sight
that arrives post-night.
Few each day enjoy this true wonder
while the majority refresh in a longer slumber.

You aptly describe the fact that in modern times people give more importance to sleep than the morning sight.I am a morning person. I go for a jog when the kokillas hail the morning.And yeah... its definitely a beautiful image.It refreshes the soul and mind . prepares our spirit for a new day with new challenges. The rhyme of this poem is pleasant to the ears.I just came back from jog and read this poem... so it was a good treat :)Thanks for sharing
