Hegemony

Hegemony

A Poem by Cameron Wipperman

Snaggle-toothed lollies,
and autistic teddy bears,
live like kings,
but they rule none.

They, are the guilty pleasures,
of the hungry children
dressed in button downs
and bow ties.

False prophets,
elected at the displeasure
of the brainwashed dandelions
from the plains.

Pitiful little dandelions...
blissfully unaware,
of the bastardly schemes.
