Walking to the Bus Stop

Walking to the Bus Stop

A Poem by CJ
"

I wrote this with the hope of sharing how it feels to be walking down the street towards my bus stop in the early morning. It may not do the walk justice, but it conveys some idea of how it feels

"
Lonely
It's a long walk to the bus stop
Birds chirping and tweeting, conversing
Squirrels scurry by
Deer run away, their hooves clippity clopping on the asphalt
Cars going by, engines revving
Busy day ahead
Have to get started
The smell of rain lingers still
Those minutes, those moments, fill my brain
Any argument, any negative feeling, leaves me
I put my music on
I am then transported to another place
Another world
I am calm
I am happy
The early morning smells enter my body as I breath in
It is unlike any other feeling humanly possible
I am grounded, yet I am in the clouds
This is where I am meant to be
