The Mysterious Death of Robert “Bobby” Bizup

While enjoying his time at Camp St. Malo, a Catholic boy’s summer camp, in the middle of August 1958, Robert “Bobby” Bizup went missing. No one knew what happened to him, nor where he went. A year later, the skeletal remains that came to be Bobby’s were found three miles from the camp. Originally, it was thought that he had gotten lost and passed away due to exposure. However, after further investigation, more specifically into child sexual abuse allegations, investigators began to look deeper into the disappearance of Bobby. As it turns out, some of the accused individuals worked as camp counselors during the time of the boy’s death. Speculation about whether this is connected has not been fruitful as of yet. No one is quite sure what happened to 10-year-old Bobby. Did nature take its course after he had wandered off? Are the allegations of sexual abuse linked to his death? Who might’ve been involved in him mysteriously disappearing just to be found a year later? So far, these questions remain unanswered.
