The Death of Clayton “CJ” Hemingway Jr.

16-year-old Clayton Hemingway, better known as CJ, had been playing a little basketball late on an early November evening. According to his mother, this wasn’t unusual for him; he loved the sport. But neither of them expected what was about to happen. CJ had loved basketball since he was little; the spark began when his father gave him a little basketball as a present. He then joined a basketball team, where his abilities began to shine. As he was about to head into his apartment building, two men approached him, and one of them pulled a gun. The officers who responded to the 911 call found him with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Although he had been transported to the local ER, he had been pronounced dead. No one knows who was behind this attack. There have been no advances in his case as of yet. His mother is pushing for anything that could be helpful in finding who is responsible for the death of her child.
