Incarnate

Incarnate

A Poem by CLR9
"

This is a poem about animals (the Zoo attractions).

"
When my Chicken nuggets
are gone
and the Coca Cola
is gone
I realized, I've had a meal
But when I come home,
There's a grasshopper outside
in the garden
Jumping around the stone animal statues,
But it lands in a spider web
The spider, big and black eats it
And I think about,
at the end of sunset
how many things
in the world can eat me

I love the way you used anaphora at the beginning of the poem and also your use of similes. These two things made the poem more memorable to read and added style. Also, I really liked how you described the animals and insects so vividly
