I Ask for What

I Ask for What

A Poem by CLR9
"

This is a poem about what (the English version).

"
I ask for what
for what we open cans for
for what we open doors for
for what I shoot
squirrels in the face
and blow their little heads off for
you offer a dog some food
but it goes to the dead
squirrel for food
you offer a woman
some bread
but it goes to a steak
then when hunger strikes
these things will come to you
when nothing is left
after dark
and you ask what for

Your word choice makes the poem flow well and helps with the overall tone. My favorite line from this piece is " then when hunger strikes / these things will come to you / when nothing is left / after dark / and you ask what for". It sounds very beautiful
