My Pain and Broken Soul

I feel

I feel 

emptiness all around me

in a dark room

it is crushing my soul

my broken soul 

into shards

as I speak, the walls rattle

from the broken glass on the floor

someday

they will come for me

dark and ominous for me ... especially like the power you give to the broken shards .. so that they rattle the walls ... unique to imagine those soul shards ... would have to be powerful ... emotions and the mind can break ... sometimes so strong we are helpless ... i suppose someday "they" may come for us all eh!? ;-{

An intriguing write....especially the reference to the "they".....

Darkness does give off that illusion of crushing and closing in on the soul, so that is a fine description of the emotions felt. Hopefully some light can penetrate the darkness soon.

A piercing description of depression here. Although auditory hallucinations are characteristic primarily of schizophrenia, they can occur in mood disorders, too, and that is apparently what is happening here. This person needs medication desperately.

Plath was in such a dark place toward the latter years...i think she was crying out in letters to her mother...but her mother was too close to hear...and others did not as well.
when the walls are rattling and the glass in the windows is breaking....can the mind we live in be rebuilt?
or is the inevitable...just inevitable.
