You and I

You and I

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

You and I
We can't let us die
This rocky ship we sail
Is on the verge of making us bail
On something we both want
It feels like it is a taunt
Knowing what we have had
Seems like a dream, it's sad
That we can't seem to grasp
The importance, that we need to clasp
Together the woman you are to the man I am
Getting back to what made
A stubborn idiot to love an amazing woman
An angel from above to love a crazy man
A beauty to love a dramatic
A beast to love a stoic
Our pairing isn't the most logical
Our coupling isn't the most sensible
But when two people have a yearning
Have a longing
Have a wanting
The only thing to do is to defy
And keep going and ratify
You and I

I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
