How do I forget you?
Tell me, how does one erase the light, when the eyes have known only the sun?

How do I forget you
when you are that joy I refuse to surrender...how do I erase a feeling
that has rewritten my entire being?

So why must I forget you
when my soul still reaches,
still hopes,
still believes in a beginning
that never truly ended?

Why should I move on,
when I would spend a lifetime
standing still for something real?

You are that diamond in the sky...radiant enough
to guide me through every dark I’ve known...

Even if life carries you beyond my reach…
I will not undo you.
I will not rewrite what we were
into something smaller
just to make it easier to survive...

I became someone
who knew what it meant
to love without limits...
And that,
that is something
I will never
let go of.
